| The Transmutation classroom was the most vast one in the whole Academy. Strange objects were poking out of the walls and floor, no one ever daring to clean them up or remove them. The room was completely empty, providing enough surface for everyone to draw their own Alchemic circle. A middle-aged woman leaned on one of the walls, her hands crossed, always barking instructions. | |

| After knocking on the door, without waiting for an answer, Revi stormed into the third classroom. She was keen on seeing all the three places in one day, especially after the boring hours spent in reading books. Her blue orbs scanned the room, acknowledging all the weird objects sticking out of all of the surfaces in the room. The Phoenix found herself finally looking at the lecture there and she greeted her with a cold, but clear: "Good afternoon, ma'am." | |

| The woman sent her a stern look and then said: "You must have gone trough your other two classes already if you're here? Very well then, tell me which circle you studied." | |

| Revi supressed an annoyed sound. She still had a long way to go and she knew it all too well. "The most simple one; a cirlcle with a square in the middle of it," the raven-haired girl answered stiffly, hands behind her back. | |

| "Very well then, you must know the basics, so go there," the woman motioned towards a place in the wall that was somewhat flat, "and make your circle." After those words the woman threw a piece of chalk towards the girl and waited for her to finish with the task she was given. | |

| The Phoenix snatched at the piece of chalk and went to the designated spot, her hair flowing behind her. She remembered the circle pretty good, since it was very simple and... pathetically easy to draw once you got the proportions. Her hand drove the chalk along the surface and with a swift motion, the circle was finished. The young woman quickly drew the square in the middle of it and after she threw a look at it, she turned towards the lecturer, waiting for further instructions. | |

| "I see you're not slacking at your Circle Skill class." Said the lecturer after studying her circle. "Though you've probably read this already, I feel obliged to say this: There are three steps that must be followed for a transmutation to be complete - understanding trough which you must find out what substances the object is composed of; decomposition – you must use the Alchemical energy to break trough the bonds that hold the atoms together; and reconstruction – you must put those atoms back together in a different way to reach the desired outcome of the transmutation. Now, lets see you do that and try to create any kind of change in the wall under your circle." | |

| The Phoenix nodded and turned towards the wall, staring intently at it, as if trying to make a hole in it not by using Alchemy, but just her blue orbs. 'A hole, that's right!' the blackhead sighed, while thinking that this would be one of the most difficult classes she would be having. 'Okay now. Understanding of what the wall is composed... That's an easy one,' Revi's palm was sliding on the surface in order to understand it's composition. 'Prob'ly bricks, and something to connect them... concrete? Yeah... something like that. And bricks are made of sand and some other rocks, so I'm done with the first part,' the raven-haired girl licked her lips and proceeded to the next thing the lecturer had explained. She rubbed her palms against each other in order to get them... feel them ready and then slammed them on the wall. 'Decompose them... break the links,' with concentration written all over her face, Revi shut her eyes, struggling to use properly the Alchemic energy by breaking the bonds between the elements. 'And then... reconstruct!' she gritted her teeth barely noticeble, her attention fully focused on the picture she was imagining: a hole in the wall. Even the smallest dent would be a satisfaction at the current moment. | |

| But absolutely nothing happened. "Come on, now, don't start embarrassing yourself in your last class. Try harder." | |

| 'It's easy for her to say it, she already CAN do it...' Revi took her palms off the wall and stared blankly at it. Clearing her entire mind, she isolated herself from the world, only her and that $%$%&*(@*% wall existent at that very moment. She cracked her head, relieving the tension of it and her shoulders she had packed up all day. Indeed she was tired, however she needed to accomplish at least this little. She needed to improve so that she would be able to climb higher and higher, up to the top. The Phoenix clenched and released her fists a several times, before she repeated to herself: 'Understan, decompose and reconstruct; it's that simple,' now her palms were pressed on the wall once again, this time her blue orbs were fixed upon the place she was supposed to dent. The blackhead imagined it all how happened, even the smallest detail didn't escape her. At that moment she concentrated as best as she could and tried to do what she was told earlier: breake the particles and rearange them by her own will. That was it. | |

| For a few seconds there was absolutely no reaction, but then suddenly a bolt of yellow lightning appeared, but it was gone just as fast and there was still no reaction from the wall. "That's better, now keep doing it until you manage to do the transmutation." | |

| Revi was ready to jump back when the bolt of yellow lightning appeared in front of her. However, being herself and all, she stood still and unwavering, eyeing the wall emotionlessly. The young woman scratched her head and came to a conclusion that she was on the right way and just needed to try harder, like the lecturer had told her. She knew she could do it, after all she did have a small reaction to her second try... Once again she pressed her palms on the wall and once again she imagined the hole appearing in it. Making a deformation on any object using ones will was the biggest problem in a young Alchemist's training, the raven-haired girl concluded. The dent appeared before her blue eyes, its image burning itself in her mind, only her and the wall existent at the moment. 'Steady now... break the friggin' wall down into its atoms...' the Phoenix told herself, unconsciously narrowing her blue orbs. 'And make a hole on the surface...' The girl tried to direct the Alchemy energy as precise as she could at the moment with her current abilities. | |

| This time the bolt of lightning appeared as soon as she started trying and when it disappeared it seamed like the smallest groove could hardly be seen on it. | |

| 'I can try hitting myself against the stupid wall with a better effect,' bitterly thought Phoenix, observing the small dent created on the surface. 'I could really use a smoke right now...' her hand trailed to her pocked and when she gripped the cigarette box, her fingers traced their way towards a single cilindric paper. Gripping it slightly, Revi felt her strained nerves return to their usual calm state and she let out a deep breath. The young woman took her hand out of her pocket and cracked her knuckles, rubbing her palms against each other afterwards. Clenching and unclenching her fists, the blackhead slammed her palms on the cold surface and did what she was doing up until now: imagined the crack appear on the wall and the whole process of that happening. From the decomposition of the materials, their movement controlled by the Alchemy energy she was using till their final positions resulting in a successful transmutation. 'Crack open, d*mn yo~u!' | |

| And, unfortunately for her, it seamed to listen to her thoughts exactly and in stead of a hole to appear, a crack that almost reached both floor and ceiling took its place. "Hay, aren't you overdoing it a little bit?" the lecturer raised a brow and then pointed towards a different place on the wall that was in a better shape than the first she had been using. "Try again there and be careful, I don't want the building coming down." | |

| "Yeah," Revi said quietly for an answer, "a bit, I guess." 'Well she asked me to try harder... Though it would be nice if I were able to... Nah, I would have to pay for it later,' the blackhead mused and walked over to the designated spot, secretly admiring her somewhat successful attempt. She had picked the chalk and was now drawing the already very familiar circle. When it was finished, Phoenix stepped backwards and observed it, finding it good for her purposes. Slightly licking her lips, she neared the wall and pressed her palms against it. 'This... is starting to get its toll on me,' observed the raven-haired girl, only now noticing how tired she really was. Calming herself down, Revi did what she was doing up until then; the image of the hole appeared clearly in her mind, while she let the power of Alchemy do its work, while her concentration didn't fail her once again. | |

| And finally, after all of her hard attempts, the wall cooperated and the needed hole could be seen when the lightning disappeared.

| If Revi wasn't who she was - an emotionless drunkard - she would've jumped with happyness, punching the air. However only a smirk could be seen on her face and she wiped a sole drop of sweat off her eyebrow, she hadn't realized was there. The blackhead was glad this was over with, since she was already tired from all that had happened that day and all the classes she had gone through. Going to the lecturer, she bowed to her slightly and said low but clear: "Thank you for the lesson," after which she exited the room quickly somewhat afraid that the woman would make her repair the damage she had caused on her first somewhat successful try. | |
